General Motor’s presence in Uzbekistan is through a commercial alliance with UzAuto Motors. Under this alliance GM provides UzAuto Motors with GM-licensed products and components for the manufacture of vehicles and powertrains in Uzbekistan.
UzAuto Motors assembles these products at their vehicle manufacturing operations in Asaka, and Powertrain facility in Tashkent, and manage the sale and distribution of these vehicles in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and under the Chevrolet brand.
Chevrolet’s market share in Uzbekistan was 91% in 2021, with 188,717 vehicles sold.
