Women in Power 2026 by Acwa

Tatyana Bystrushkina, Executive Director of AmCham Uzbekistan, delivered remarks at the third annual forum “Women in Power 2026,” organized by Acwa, AmCham Platinum member  on March 6.

A key highlight of the forum was the presentation of preliminary findings from Acwa’s research on the barriers women face throughout their professional journeys, conducted in partnership with AmCham Uzbekistan and the Foreign Investors Council. The research was presented by Dr. Kamola Alieva, Senior Researcher and Gender Expert.

Early findings point to structural challenges affecting women’s careers, including low participation in technical and engineering fields, hiring biases toward support roles, and workplace conditions in site-based roles that may discourage long-term engagement.

Final research results and recommendations will be shared in the coming months.

This forum brought together 250 progressive women from across Uzbekistan representing diverse sectors to discuss leadership, professional opportunities, and fostering greater inclusion in the workplace and society.
