On March 12th, AmCham Financial & Banking Services Committee chaired by Nukri Tetrashvili, CEO at TBC Bank Uzbekistan, held a meeting on foreign financing attractiveness, hedging mechanisms, and unified fraud prevention in the fin sectors.
The committee discussed the concerning rise of frauds, particularly fake offers and commission schemes via calls or other platforms. With only 30% of fraud cases detected, urgent action is needed to protect individuals.
As the result of the meeting, the following actions were proposed to prevent fraud cases:
– Increase public awareness through educational videos.
– Implement a robust anti-fraud system with wider participation.
– Enhance data exchange among stakeholders to stay ahead of fraud tactics.
– Create a big working croup to prevent fraud cases
– Include as many organizations as possible for effective implementation
